Join us for the first-ever Totally Nachrageous Tour in New Haven, a cheesy, crunchy, flavor-packed culinary adventure celebrating one of America’s favorite comfort foods: nachos. Co-Hosted by The Nacho King of Connecticut, Alex P. Taylor, this one-of-a-kind experience combines food history, creative pairings, local restaurants, and over-the-top loaded nachos across the city.
The tour kicks off at Geronimo with their famous “Nachos Borrachos,” fully loaded with chicken tinga, birria, and carnitas, paired with your choice of a spicy or cucumber margarita. From there, we head to Trinity Bar for Irish pub vibes, crispy nachos, and a cold beer or Foxon Park soda. Then it’s off to Blue Tortuga for authentic taqueria-style nachos and fresh margaritas, before ending at Barracuda with their unforgettable yuca nachos topped with pepper jack cheese, salsa, guacamole, and sour cream, and their signature mojito.
Along the way, guests will learn the surprising history of nachos, discover how they became a worldwide obsession, and explore creative topping combinations, pairings, and fun food facts. Expect storytelling, laughs, local history, and plenty of melty cheese.
