This is The Ultimate Pizza Tour, the ultimate way to samples pizza from New Haven’s Holy Trinity of pizzerias. In just four hours we visit the most historic and highest rated pizza places in New Haven where guests get to beat the line, sit inside and enjoy three different pizzas, plus beer, wine or soda at each stop.
We start on Wooster Street in Little Italy at the star-studded Sally’s Apizza established in 1938 by Salvatore Consiglio & family. Here we sample a traditional tomato sauce pie with garlic, a mozzarella pie, and a white potato, onion & rosemary pie. Next we take a 25 min walk to the award winning Modern Apizza established in 1934. We sample traditional tomato sauce pie with garlic, a mozzarella pie plus the meat lovers Italian Bomb pie. We then take a 30-minute walk back to the heart of Little Italy to the legendary Frank Pepe Pizzeria established in 1925. Here we try the traditional tomato sauce pie with garlic, a mozzarella pie and the renowned white clam pie.
