FAQs: How do I purchase a ticket for a tour? Tickets must be purchased by credit card and only at www.tasteofnewhaven.com, or via www.eventbrite.com or www.ticketleap.com How far in advance should I purchase tickets? Tours should be booked at least a week in advance. If you are booking a larger group booking two weeks in advance is suggested. What are the food and drink stops? Check the tour page details. We stop at multiple places and it varies per tour. How long are the tours? 3-4 hours Where should I park? For the Canal Quarter tour parking is suggested at the garage directly across from our meeting spot at 70 Audubon Street. They stay open for the duration of the tour. Is there a waiting list if a tour is sold out? No, since there is limited capacity on each tour we do not offer a waiting list Do you provide gift certificates and coupons? Yes! If you have recieved a gift certificate you can enter your special code at checkout. If you have purchased your ticket through another party like Groupon you should double check that your reservation is confirmed. What is your refund, rescheduling or cancellation policy? Since the tours are set up in advance and are limited in number we may charge a $20 fee for all rescheduling or cancellations that cannot be rebooked, or are within 48 hours of the tour. ****PLEASE BE AWARE THAT SOME OF OUR TICKETING AGENCIES CHARGE A REFUND FEE THAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR**** We will make exceptions to our refund policy for real emergencies only. Can you accommodate people with food allergies or dietary restrictions? We will do our best to create a menu for you if we are given enough notice about your food allergy or dietary restriction. We will inform you in a case where we may not be able to accommodate this. Should I tip the tour guide? You should consider tipping your tour guide if you had a good time! Think of your guide as a mobile restaurant server so for a $55 ticket, 18% would be about a $10 tip. Are the tours rain or shine? We will hold the tours in most weather so please come prepared. We will reserve the right to cancel tours in the case of extreme weather. If we have your contact info we will give you at least 24 hours notice if this happens. In these cases we will work with you to reschedule you on another tour. What should I bring with me? We suggest bringing weather appropriate clothing and accessories. Are your tours given in languages other than English? No, but you may request to bring your own translator. Are pets allowed on the tour? No, sorry you'll have to keep them at home. Are the tours handicap accessible? We cannot guarantee that all parts of the tour will meet that standard. What if I have to use the restroom? Most of the tour stops have a restroom. We will try our best to keep you informed of when there is a restroom at a stop. Are we allowed to use a camera during the tour? Yes, we love photos, videos and audio! Do you offer private group tours? Yes, just contact Colin about dates, locations and themes. We can help you organize groups anywhere from 8 or more people on tastings, progressive dinners or other food and drink oriented events. This is great for birthdays, corporate events, friends outings and reunions. |
